So I've been watching the news lately and listening to the talk shows on the AM side of radio and I have noticed a little bit of chatter over our once feared, publicly decried nemesis, Russia. It intrigues me that a country that is so full of resources, and has such a great opportunity to be one of the worlds greatest capitalistic environments would so easily be led down the same path that they were in i.e. Communism. Does Mr. Putin just want the former police state back that was the mother to him and his ilk? Does he long for the good ol days of the Soviet Union, riddled with government inefficiencies. I do believe though that he is up to something... and might actually be the sleeping giant of lore. I have set up a news reel that will capture the events of the day but I'm also going to try to keep a log of all the events that might lead o mother Russia in becoming a communist state again.

Wow, political jargon...and here I thought I was going to get into some good blogging. I am a first timer...blogger that is. Fred Thompson...great on Law and Order...in the White House? Yeah why not? It worked for Ronald Regan. Let's talk about Mitt, now Mitt is a formidable candidate. Romney in 08 is my new mantra.
After 5 long absent years from University, I decided to go back. My wife was sweet, she helped me pick out my outfit for the first day, packed my lunch box and then waived from the door as I made the ardous journey back to school. This time in hopes of earning a graduate degree. Ok, perhaps a bit of an exaggeration, but the first day of school whether it be Kindergarten or University can be a daunting task...I have finished my first week of classes, and I am enjoying it. Much has changed in the 5 years since I have been gone...when the Professor suggested I check the "blackboard" for current postings of assignments and details on the syllabus, she was not talking about the black slate filled with wonderful chalk dust of yesteryear... I like it though...the content is great and graduate work is on a whole different level from my undergraduate years. My social life is going to be the first casualty. I love my free time...and now between work, church and school, I am finding that I have precious little of that luxury. Speaking of free time... I have not, as of yet scheduled in time to blog... so back to the books. I'll have to blog later, like when I am at work... seems like I have lots of free time there...

So I work for an after market vehicle performance company and I have to keep up on the industry with trends and market analysis. Constantly I'm berated with the three automobile giants here in America and how they cry foul every time that they don't meet their sales goals and keep losing market share to Toyota. Having to work on the big three's vehicles it disgusts me on how expensive these vehicles are. How is the average American supposed to afford one of these vehicles, especially with the high cost of fuel and our increasing loss of earnings do to higher taxes, higher health care, and higher everything, except wages? I just want to shout out that I hate the fact that a new vehicle cost more than I make in a year. And I'll continue to hear the big three cry about how they are not selling any vehicles.
Has it ever occurred to them that if they dropped the prices dramatically that the shear movement of quantity would make up loss per unit. I notice Toyota offers some of the best vehicles for the money with out incurring major maintenance costs. At least you know that when you buy a vehicle from them you are not going to need to take into the shop every twenty thousand miles to get something repaired or stuck back on. Cheap plastic pieces of garbage. (Speaking of all vehicles in general!) So here is my solution GM, Ford, Chrysler lower your damn prices.

So listening to the Radio today I learned that the immigration bill that was going to the senate got defeated with a less than majority vote, 46 votes. Hurray for the senate!! They actually listened to the people and did something that would have harmed America greatly. Why can't people just go through the system to be citizens. Thousands of people do it every day so I don't know why every immigrant can't do it.
One interesting fact about the proceedings today was the fact that the Senate phone system was so inundated with phone calls that it shut the system down. Good Job America!
And another thing isn't the immigration bill a bit premature when the United States can't even control the border? Why doesn't the senate introduce a border bill that would provide the border patrols with the necessary funding, manpower and logistics to stop the illegal immigration from any side, Canadian, Cuban, or Mexican.

I have always been given to much thinking. While daydreaming at the office or at home, my thoughts wonder to and fro about the things of the world, i.e politics, entrepreneurship, civic duties, religious obligations, and spiritual awakening. So I thought that writing this to a Blog would be the best thing for the feelings and ideas that I have. I hope to keep it interesting and please feel free to give me feedback on grammar or sentence structure, or that you just don't agree with what I'm saying or that you do. I hope this will be as interesting for you as it will be therapeutic for me.
